Terms and Conditions

Deposit: To secure your date for custom orders or weddings, a non-refundable retainer is required upon booking. Your date is not officially held until this is paid.
Final Balance: The remaining balance is due the day before the event date. Late payments may result in the cancellation of the order.
Accepted Payment Methods: We accept bank transfer, card payments or online invoices.

Cancellations: If you cancel your order, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made within 2 days of the event will forfeit 100% of the total order value, as ingredients and production schedules are already locked in.
Postponements: We will make every effort to accommodate date changes, subject to availability. A postponement request must be made at least 1 week in advance of the original booking date. Please note that rescheduling may not be possible if we are already fully booked on the rescheduled date and you will forfeit your deposit.
Baker Cancellations: In the unlikely event that Freshly Caked must cancel due to unforeseen emergencies, a full refund of all monies paid will be issued immediately.

Creative Freedom & Color Matching: While we love working from inspiration photos, we cannot guarantee an exact color match or exact match to images provided. Some variations may occur due to lighting, screen settings, and hand-mixing colors.
Fresh Flowers & Non-Edible Elements: If your design includes fresh flowers, props, or toppers supplied by you or your florist, you are responsible for ensuring they are food-safe and non-toxic. We are not liable for any contamination from non-edible decorations. As a rule we will not use Gypsophila on cakes.
Allergens & Cross-Contamination: Our kitchen handles common allergens including dairy, eggs, nuts, wheat, and soy. While we take rigorous precautions, we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment and are not liable for allergic reactions. All bakes will be labelled clearly with allergen information - if there are any allergens we need to aware of please make these clear at the time of booking.

Collection: Orders collected from our address are transported entirely at the client's own risk once they leave our possession. We provide safe-handling instructions and recommend placing cakes on a flat surface (like the floorboard or trunk) with air conditioning running.
Delivery & Setup: For wedding and event cakes, delivery and setup fees are calculated based on distance. Once setup is complete and signed off by the client or event coordinator, Freshly Caked is no longer liable for any damage (e.g., venue temperature issues, guest interference, or uneven venue flooring).
